Our vision of a Trusted Future rests on four pillars: security, privacy and personal safety, equity and inclusion, and economic innovation. Advancing progress in these issue areas is essential to enhancing trust, and progress in these areas can build on each other to help ratchet up both trust and the common good. Equally true, however, is that failure to elevate trust—or even backsliding—in one area can serve to undermine trust in others. Trusted Future will provide an actionable path forward to the public, technology producers and users, and policymakers to raise the level of trust in the global digital ecosystem.
